Looking for a new whip? Think again. - Lluvia Reza
Look, I get it. You’re 18, fresh outta high school, you’ve been working since sophomore year, and you swear that if you pull up to grad night in a new mustang your popularity will skyrocket and the cool kids will all come flocking. News flash -- no one cares what you drive as long as you’re willing to give rides. It’s always been hyped up to spend your summers working for a new car but is new really better? It’s your first car, you’re going to make some mistakes, get a few dings, and take a few “coming of age” road trips that’ll build up some mileage. Point being, when you’re looking for your first car it doesn’t have to be go big or go home, just reliable and gets you home. If enough research is put into buying a used car, it can be the best purchase of your youth. Instead of splurging on that new sports car, invest in the fuel efficient, OG, car that you can always lean on and holds memories of a lifetime. This can be paid for in half the time and you would only have to put away about half as much money to save up for it.
