If you want to buy a car, first you need to know your income. Once you know your income you can begin to look at cars that you can afford. Many people look for cars on craigslist which is a website where you can look for cars with specific characteristics that you want. You can look at models, years, colors and other things you want the car to have or be. It is usually a good idea to look at 4 or 5 potential cars that you will buy and look at them physically. Look at the outside and make sure it is in good condition as well as the interior. Then you need to look at the engine and make sure it is functional by test driving it. If you do not know what an engine is supposed to look like you can always have someone else with you that does. Another key thing is to make sure it does not have too many miles on it. A good number of miles is about 12,000 which is considered the norm for a used car. Once all of you personally requirements as well as the actual necessary requirements have been satisfied you can negotiate and pay the car then finish off with the paperwork and drive away with your new car.
